Libraries have always been more than books—but the story we tell about them hadn’t caught up. Poudre Libraries was already showing up in fresh, unexpected ways: offering seed libraries, connecting people with community resources, hosting local events, and even rolling out a fully electric mobile library van. They were redefining what a library could be. And they were creating space for people to learn, connect, grow, and belong. Now, they needed a brand that reflected that truth—and invited the community to see themselves in it.

summary
Prior to founding Maaker Brands, our head of strategy led the brand and identity development for Poudre Libraries, building around a flexible, human-centered promise: “The space to be…” It was a simple phrase with big potential, allowing every visitor to fill in the blank—whether that meant being curious, creative, cozy, or completely themselves. From the logo system to brand voice to the wrap design for the new “Evie” mobile library van, we helped Poudre Libraries reintroduce themselves to the region as the vibrant, welcoming, ever-evolving place they already were.
